 PANYANA PRIMARY SCHOOL 
Panyana has 470 learners and 14 educators. 50% of students are orphans, and 30% live in children-run households. Panyana means “royal family” ...seemingly quite appropriate as many children find comfort, safety and love on school grounds.
School Motto: “Strive for Excellence”
Mission: To offer a quality education to leaners and to provide necessary resources to both learners and educators.

artist’s note
This design was inspired by a learner’s sketch that used the slogan: “we are strong be afraid”. What great determination that youngster has, we are strong, we can rise to any challenge and we be whomever we want to be. The fierce eyes & determination of the cobra make it the perfect mascot for the team.
